Overview
Pre-release evidence separates three ideas that marketing blur often merges: story safehouses, personal garages, and named edition properties. This guide follows Phase 14.0–14.5 research only. Rockstar’s official hub lists Grand Theft Auto VI for November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No complete property catalog exists in audited primary sources.
Primary mechanic pages: Safehouses and Personal Vehicles & Garages. Named places covered here include Jason's House, Paradise Garage, and Shore Court Garage.
Story safehouses: camp-like, chapter-moving bases
Developer comments indicate Jason and Lucia’s living spaces are far more complex than previous GTA hideouts and closer to Red Dead Redemption 2 camps. The story begins in the Leonida Keys; Jason’s first house from the trailers is there. Hideouts change as the story progresses chapter by chapter—the pair move between different safehouses rather than relying mainly on a money-driven redecoration slider. Interior details can change to some extent with story progression, but the main pattern Nelson described is moving bases.
People living there keep daily schedules, including the uncontrolled protagonist when Character Switching leaves one partner off-screen. Areas around hideouts can function as safe zones, and some story-related locations are protected (for example, Nelson’s note that cars outside Dre'Quan’s club cannot be stolen). Hair can be cut at a hideout with limited options; fuller styles require a salon.
Unexplored map areas stay hidden until visited, like GTA V and RDR2—fog-of-war is mentioned only at that level of detail in Phase 14 materials. This page does not publish a later-chapter safehouse list or spoiler chronology beyond what Nelson already disclosed.
Jason's House: rent-free arrangement, not ownership
Jason's House is a community name for the Key Lento stilt house associated with Jason Duval in official trailer footage. Trailer 2 opens on the property and shows exterior and interior scenes, including Jason working on the roof. Lucia Caminos appears living there with him in Trailer 2 scenes.
Rockstar’s Only in Leonida material for Brian Heder states that Brian lets Jason live rent-free at one of Brian’s properties in exchange for help. That is an official housing arrangement—not a claim that Jason owns the building. Do not treat “Jason's House” as a Rockstar-printed proper name, and do not upgrade the community label into deed ownership. Ultimate Edition media that groups “Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles” supports safehouse framing for packaged vehicles; it does not prove Jason owns the residence.
Community mapping places the house in Key Lento within the Leonida Keys. Exact save-point rules, vehicle storage capacity at the house, or a formal “starting safehouse” systems label remain unconfirmed beyond the broader safehouse mechanic description.
Garages and edition properties
Developer-confirmed: additional garages can be purchased around the map to expand personal vehicle storage beyond the early three-vehicle limit. That is system behavior on the personal-vehicles mechanic page—not a published Place list of named for-sale garages.
Rockstar-printed edition properties are separate:
| Property | Access | Framing |
|---|---|---|
| Paradise Garage | Ultimate Edition bonus | Watson Bay personal garage; weapon locker; stolen-goods deposit; paired with ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy |
| Shore Court Garage | Vintage Vice City Pack / pre-order | Near Ocean Beach; packaged with ’55 Vapid Stanier; same locker/deposit framing in pack materials |
| Jason's House | Standard story residence (borrowed) | Rent-free via Brian Heder; community place name |
Paradise Garage is not Standard Edition content. Shore Court Garage is not Standard Edition content. Neither should be described as a normal purchasable map listing unlocked by in-game cash alone.
Weapon lockers on edition garages are marketing amenities for loadouts and fencing deposits. They are not automatically the same system as Ammu-Nation lockers or temporary trunks; those storage rules live under Weapon Carrying & Storage.
What Rockstar has not confirmed about “buying houses”
Audited Rockstar marketing does not state that houses or safehouses are purchasable real-estate listings in the classic GTA apartment sense. Developer framing emphasizes story/camp progression for hideouts. Secondary press sometimes overstates purchase mechanics; those articles are not elevated to primary confirmation here.
Equally, this guide does not invent a slogan that Rockstar “confirmed houses cannot be purchased.” The accurate provenance is: house-for-sale apartment pages are not primary-source supported for publication. Ocean View Hotel–style legacy Vice City assumptions are rejected as GTA VI safehouse claims without new evidence.
Relationship and money UI can be checked in-game according to Nelson (relationship status and bank balance), but that is not a property deed system. The Jason & Lucia Relationship System and shared open-world time at hideouts matter for couple interactions; they still do not convert a borrowed Keys house into owned real estate.
Phase 14.5 architecture treats properties as published Places with a property-profile overlay—not a separate Property entity type. Canonical URLs remain under `/locations/[slug]`. That site structure mirrors the evidence: a small set of named residences/garages with clear access kinds (borrowed, edition_bonus, preorder_bonus), plus mechanic pages for systems that have no Place list yet.
Evidence confidence at a glance
| Claim | Confidence basis |
|---|---|
| Named Paradise Garage / Shore Court Garage | High — Rockstar-printed edition/pack names |
| Jason lives rent-free at a Brian property | High — Only in Leonida character copy |
| Community “Jason's House” = that Keys residence | Medium — Trailer 2 observation + community map placement; building unnamed in Rockstar copy |
| Additional garages purchasable on the map | Developer-confirmed system; no named Place catalog |
| Houses sold like classic GTA apartments | Not primary-supported for publication |
What we still don't know
- A public list of later-chapter safehouses and exact protected-zone crime rules is not provided.
- Exact map coordinates for Paradise Garage and Shore Court Garage remain unknown in audited materials.
- Vehicle capacity numbers for named edition garages are not printed as slot counts in audited copy.
- Whether the Shore Court benefit remains available after the pre-order window for later purchasers is edition-policy dependent.
- Save rules, wardrobe depth, and full interior interactivity at Jason's House beyond trailer observation are unconfirmed.
- How story safehouses intersect with purchasable garage expansion over a full campaign is not documented.
