I Love Vice City is an independent fan project. We combine community map research with our own database, normalization, filtering, and editorial decisions about what appears on the map and site.
Map data & basemap
Map data and basemap imagery on our interactive map are derived in part from the open-source GTADB community project (gtadb.org, map.gtadb.org).
GTADB map data and tiles are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). GTADB source code is licensed under the MIT License.
What I Love Vice City adds
GTADB provides community-maintained landmarks and map tiles. I Love Vice City maintains its own canonical database, API, UI, publication rules, verification labels, and editorial layer. Map markers and location detail pages are governed separately — appearing on the map does not automatically create a public location page.
