GTA VI Editions & Pre-Order Bonuses Explained

Standard Edition, Ultimate Edition and Vintage Vice City Pack benefits compared from Rockstar materials — without prices or unannounced platforms.

Last reviewed: September 2026

Overview

Rockstar’s official Grand Theft Auto VI hub (verified 2026-09-14) states the game is coming November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This guide compares Standard Edition framing, the Ultimate Edition package, and the Vintage Vice City Pack pre-order benefits using Rockstar hub copy, Rockstar Support editions documentation, and licensed storefront materials already audited in Phase 14 research. Prices are omitted. No PC, Steam, or other unannounced platforms are claimed.

For system garages that are not edition bonuses, see Personal Vehicles & Garages. Named bonus garages are covered below and on the properties guide.

Platforms and release window

Official hub presentation lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a “Coming November 19, 2026” release line and active Pre-Order calls to action. Newswire entries linked from the hub reinforce the November 19, 2026 launch date. Extended Look capture notes elsewhere in project research state PlayStation 5 as the footage platform; that is separate from multi-platform retail availability.

This guide does not assert day-one feature parity beyond what Rockstar prints, and it does not invent timed exclusives beyond Rockstar’s own “Plays Best On” PlayStation marketing language visible on the hub.

Standard Edition versus Ultimate Edition

Rockstar’s hub frames Ultimate Edition as an exclusive collection of items threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story—premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and related activities in marketing language. Ultimate Edition bonuses are described as appearing across the campaign rather than as a single dump of unrelated cosmetics.

Licensed Ultimate Edition materials audited in Phase research name, among other printed benefits:

Standard Edition is the base game without that Ultimate Edition collection. Paradise Garage is an Ultimate Edition benefit—not Standard content. Story safehouses and Brian Heder’s rent-free housing arrangement for Jason are story/world framing, not Ultimate unlocks; see Jason's House and Safehouses.

Vintage Vice City Pack and pre-order bonuses

Rockstar hub copy separates Pre-order Bonuses / Vintage Vice City Pack from Ultimate Edition: pre-order to get unique benefits that flash back to when the neon burned brightest. Rockstar Media includes Vintage Vice City Pack screenshot sets (vehicles, outfits/hairstyles, weapon pattern assets) distinct from Ultimate Edition Benefits sets.

Audited pack framing includes:

  • The ’55 Vapid Stanier.
  • Shore Court Garage—marketing name for the personal garage near Ocean Beach packaged with that sedan. Rockstar Support lists the benefit as the ’55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage; marketing supplies the Shore Court Garage place name.
  • Weapon locker and stolen-goods deposit framing consistent with other personal-garage marketing.
  • Vintage outfits, hairstyles, and a weapon pattern presented in official Vintage Vice City Pack media titles.

Shore Court Garage is a pre-order / Vintage Vice City Pack benefit—not Standard Edition and not the Ultimate Edition’s Paradise Garage. Do not collapse the two garages into one package.

How edition garages relate to gameplay systems

Edition garages sit on top of the developer-described ownership loop: register personal vehicles, expand storage, store weapons, fence goods. They do not replace Pay & Spray registration costs, Heat evasion paint limits, or Ammu-Nation lockers. They also do not prove that every house on the map is purchasable real estate. Developer comments still apply to all editions: early personal storage starts limited (three vehicles in Nelson’s Famitsu figure), additional map garages can be purchased later, and temporary stolen cars remain non-owned grey-radar vehicles that disappear on restart.

Ultimate Edition Special Destinations are edition-gated commercial identities in marketing copy; they should not be rewritten as universal Standard map shops without separate evidence. Vehicle model pages record Rockstar-printed names only—no invented performance stats. “Jason’s Safehouse Vehicles” as an Ultimate media grouping supports safehouse framing for packaged Enduro/Kayak content; it does not transfer ownership of Jason's House to the player or to Jason personally.

Rockstar Media catalogs in project research count large Ultimate Edition Benefits and smaller Vintage Vice City Pack screenshot sets. Those media inventories confirm packaging breadth; they are not a substitute for in-game unlock schedules.

Choosing a package without price talk

Practically, the evidence split is:

  • Standard — base Leonida campaign and systems described in developer interviews and official trailers/Extended Look.
  • Ultimate — Standard plus the threaded collection (vehicles, weapons, apparel, destinations, Paradise Garage, raid destination framing).
  • Vintage Vice City Pack — pre-order neon-era bonuses including Stanier + Shore Court Garage and related style/pattern media—not a replacement for Ultimate’s larger collection.

Players comparing packages should keep Paradise Garage and Shore Court Garage on separate lines. Mixing them into “the garage bonus” loses the edition-versus-pre-order distinction Rockstar’s own hub sections maintain.

What we still don't know

  • Full SKU matrices, regional SKU names, and any post-launch storefront changes after 2026-09-14 are outside this snapshot.
  • Exact unlock timing for every Ultimate benefit inside the campaign (when each item appears) is not published as a schedule.
  • Whether Vintage Vice City Pack contents remain available to late purchasers after the pre-order window closes is edition-policy dependent.
  • Numeric garage capacities for Paradise Garage and Shore Court Garage are not printed in audited copy.
  • Day-one feature differences between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S beyond Rockstar’s printed platform badges are not asserted here.
  • No PC release date or storefront is claimed; Rockstar’s audited hub presentation for this verification lists PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only.
